Complete oneness with

Hold me

05. off “The mountains inside”

“Hold Me”

happens to be the last song on the album, and also the last song written in the EP. It was written during a lonely period of my life, where I learned to dig deep and connect with the universe around me before I could attract a connection with others. The lyrics in the chorus, “Where the ocean meets the sand, where hands meets hand…” were first written as a caption to a photo several years ago that stuck with me.

Dream-pop inspired, the song maintains an ethereally rich synth foundation, with delicate echoes of vocals. It encompasses the tactile feelings of walking through a park, experiencing deeply the sun on the skin and the velvety strokes of the breeze blowing. The completion of the EP ends with an inner sense of completion and oneness within oneself and the universe.

Hold me

Hold me, hold me

Hold me so I can take you in

Warm me, warm me

Warm me so light becomes my skin

I remember you

You remember me

I remember you

Close to me

Where the ocean meets the sand

Where hand meets hand

We’ll be home again, and

Where the currents roll so deep

We’ll both complete infinity

If you hold me

Touch me, touch me

Touch me so breath fills me in

Love me, love me

Love me so I can be home again

Again

You remember me

I remember you

You remember me

Close to you

Where the ocean meets the sand

Where hand meets hand

We’ll be home again, and

Where the currents roll so deep

We’ll both complete infinity

If you hold me

If you just hold me

Hold me now

Hold me now

Hold me now

Hold me now

Where the ocean meets the sand

Where hand meets hand

We’ll be home again, and

Where the currents roll so deep

We’ll both complete infinity

If you hold me
