“To Find You”

happens to encapsulate a very vulnerable moment for me. After undergoing a very rough breakup after a long-term relationship, I had completely shelled up to protect myself. I wrote “To Find You” in the midst of an emotional breakdown where the walls started to soften for the first time.

Whispers thread through as the verse begins, recorded through the microphone on my computer, sealing in the raw emotion of the moment. The naive electronic drums and piano put forth a soft, innocent structure that develops into sprouting hope.

Astrological energy of VENUS IN CANCER

Rough exterior protecting a caring and sensitive heart

Gear in making the song: Ibanez artcore AM93 semi-hollow body guitar, Audio Technica 4033a condenser microphone, Presonus studio channel tube preamplifier, Native Instruments interface and Komplete software, and Ableton Live

To Find You

Oh my lost love, carry me through

Carry me through

The next part

The next part

To to the better part

Oh my memories, cradle me through

Cradle me through

The next part

The next part

To the better part

Oh my lost love

Cradle me through

Oh my tired, tired heart

It still fights, it still fights

To find you

Oh my worn, worn soul

It still fights, it still fights

To find you

Oh my courage, lead me through

Lead me through

The rough part

The rough part

To the better part

Oh my strength, push me through

Push me through

The rough part

The rough part

To the better part

Oh my lost love

Carry me through

Oh my tired, tired heart

It still fights, it still fights

To find you

Oh my worn, worn soul

It still fights, it still fights

To find you

To find you

Oh my tired, tired heart

It still fights, it still fights

To find you

Oh my worn, worn soul

It still fights, it still fights

To find you

To find you
